Barbados vacation rentals

The perfect stay in Barbados

From its pink-tinged beaches and vivid turquoise waters to its lush, green interior and breezy, laid-back feel, Barbados is, quite simply, paradise. The people welcome you with open arms, a huge smile, and some of the fiercest rum-punch cocktails you’ll ever taste. Our Barbados villas and vacation rentals are the perfect place to relax in your own little slice of heaven. Throw some fresh fish on the BBQ, and experience true island life underneath the Caribbean sun.

Barbados is big enough for you to go off the beaten track. A leisurely trip down one of the island’s country lanes will take you into the interior, where you’ll see green monkeys watching your every move from the treetops. The island’s interior is incredibly verdant, and you’ll discover real gems such as Hunte’s Gardens. Listen to classical piano music while wandering through a garden filled with flowers and hummingbirds. Cool off with some ginger lemonade, and then explore some more. Barbados is known for its crafts, especially pottery. Earthworks is the place to go, where you’ll find pots glazed in shades of brilliant sunshine yellow and sea blues, representing the beauty of island life in all its glory.

Once you’ve explored the heart of the island, it’s time to head back to your onefinestay luxury villa in Barbados, for some local culinary delights. Feast on grilled flying fish followed by that Bajan speciality, rum cake. Step outside onto the soft, white sand, rum punch in hand, and watch a million stars fill the night sky as the sun slips below the horizon.

Thingsyou can't miss in Barbados
  • Take a private tour of the world's oldest rum distillery.
  • Try a traditional Bajan meal which can be bought in a local rum shop.
  • Experience breathtaking views in Farley Hill National Park.

“Sinking your toes into warm, sugar-soft white sand, savouring the scents of a beachside BBQ and sipping a cool glass of rum punch... this is what Barbados is all about.”

HOW TO GET THERE

Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport to your Barbados villa.

  • By plane Eight miles east of Bridgetown is Sir Grantley Adams International Airport, where your dedicated concierge will make sure you’re treated like a VIP from the moment you touch down. They’ll also arrange private transfers in executive vehicles so you can arrive at your villa in Barbados in style.
  • By private jet Sir Grantley Adams International Airport is also the landing location for private jets, if that’s how you’re planning to travel. Some of our exclusive villas in Barbados do have helicopter landing areas. Your dedicated concierge can arrange for an island helicopter transfer so you can start your holiday a little sooner.
  • By boat Some of our secluded Barbados villas have their own jetties and can also be reached by boat. What a fabulous way to start your Barbados holiday of a lifetime.

LOCAL TIPS

  • Barbados is a very lively destination in terms of local festivals and events. Be sure to check out the calendar during your stay, especially during the autumn and winter months.
  • Unlike some other Caribbean destinations, tap water is usually drinkable here in Barbados.
  • When you are on the beach beware of manchineel trees (clearly marked with a red band around the trunk) - when it's raining do not take shelter under them (touching them causes blisters) and don't eat the fruit: it’s highly toxic.
  • You’re only 13° from the Equator here, so the sun can be very strong. Stay hydrated and don’t forget your sunscreen to prevent sunburn.
